Select EDT is designed to automatically escape a single apostrophe with a double apostrophe for MS SQL Server, or to escape the character for MySQL. With ORACLE however this functionality was not working correctly. We have published a service release as EDT V3.3.129 Thank you for reporting. Lean Software 8/18/2015 1:04:12 PM
Select I need to insert into a text field a value that may contain an apostrophe. What I wound up doing is creating a Work Field, loaded the data into that, and in the field that actually gets loaded into the database, created a formula: =SUBSTITUTE(RC[-1], "'","''") (replaced single quotes with two single quotes) This works, but is there an easier/better way to accomplish this? Thanks Invesco Houston USA 8/14/2015 9:20:24 PM
